Doddie’s Grand Tour - 4th-8th February 2025 (Glasgow to Edinburgh)
Very early on a wet Tuesday morning in Dublin, the core team, and other riders, had breakfast before setting off on their cycle to Edinburgh, via a few stops along the way. The rain actually got heavier just before they put best pedal forward. Once again, Rob Wainwright leading the charge and the core riders (Mark, Tom, Gordon and Angus - Heather would join later on Thursday) onwards north. We had a ferry to catch on day one, before the rest of the Doddie’s Grand Tour cyclists joined us in Stranraer on Wednesday morning. Yet again, the clubs really did go out of their way to welcome, feed and water us - some with great entertainment!!
Many a time during the challenge we were reminded of why we were all there - MND never stops and neither will we - #weirinthistogether
What a fantastic welcome in the Grassmarket when the riders, and runners, arrived. Out of site though, a very touching moment with Rob and daughter, Tasha, held hands at the top of the hill near to Greyfriars Bobby.
